Basketball Hall of Fame Inductees
Chad Tramble and LaTosha Gaines were inducted into the Shawnee basketball Hall of Fame Friday night.
LaTosha was a stand-out basketball player in her years at Shawnee. She was selected for all-tournament teams 3 times, all-state Super 5 special recognition in 95-96, honorable mention in 96-97, and was selected to the Large East Coaches All-State team. She went on to play at Connors State and Texas Wesleyan and returned to be an assistant coach at Shawnee for 3 years.
Chad was a 2-year starter, 3-year contributor to the Shawnee Men's basketball team, averaging 20.2 ppg, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals a game his senior year. He was selected 1st team All-Suburban conference for 2 years and played in a few All-Star games before joining the St. Gregory's team. He went on to help his brother coach AAU basketball teams after graduation.
