SHS Student Sabrina Bartley Chosen as News-Star/Patriot Auto Student of the Month
Shawnee senior Sabrina Bartley goes out of her way to volunteer in her community while maintaining an almost perfect GPA.
She has been selected as one of The Shawnee News-Star and Patriot Auto Group Students of the Month for March and is now in the running to win a car.
“Sabrina is a good student with high character values and morals,” Assistant Principal Ray Shaffer said. “She is also a leader in the Shawnee High School community.”
Bartley helped led a student walkout in honor of the Florida students that were killed in a school shooting on Feb. 14.
Along with her leadership in the school, Bartley is a leader in her community. Bartley volunteered her time at a Community Renewal day camp.
As a member of the National Honor Society Bartley worked at concession stand and provided necessities for Family Promise. She also volunteered at the church nursery at University Baptist and backstage at the Shawnee Little Theatre.
On top of her volunteer hours, Bartley is an active participant in the Shawnee Little Theatre.
After graduation, Bartley will be attending Oklahoma City University and majoring in Psychology.
Bartley currently maintains a 3.9 GPA.
