Meal Packet Information for Families
The Shawnee Public Schools nutrition services program is providing shelf-stable meal packets (snack packs) that follow the regulations the USDA has set. These regulations include providing a set amount of protein, grain and fruit in each snack packet.
The purpose of SPS’s program is to make sure that our students have something to eat that meets the USDA’s guidelines for a nutritious snack during this time of need. We are doing all we can with the funds available at this time, but we are working closely with our community partners to provide as much as possible to our families. If your family is in need of more extensive help, please contact our local community or state agencies.
The district is delivering multiple meal packets to students 18 and under twice a day on Mondays and Fridays. Visit tinyurl.com/shawneemeals for information about the times and locations of food delivery points, or call 405-878-1028 or email us at meals@shawnee.k12.ok.us if you have questions.
