Flu Shots More Important Than Ever
This year it is more important than ever for families to get vaccinated for the flu. Health care institutions are already stretched thin by the COVID-19 pandemic. Receiving a flu vaccine can help mitigate seasonal health risks and help alleviate the strain on our health system.
The CDC recommends everyone six months and older should get an annual flu vaccine. Also recommended are avoiding contact with people who are sick and washing hands frequently with soap and water.
Families may contact their healthcare provider or local health department for information on flu vaccines.
