WELCOME FROM THE DIRECTOR
Our mission at Jim Thorpe Academy is to help every student feel welcome, connected, and a
part of our family. We strive to challenge each student to grow in his or her academic abilities
to prepare for their future. Our teachers utilize research-based best practices and analyze
academic data to determine your student’s current skill levels and to set goals for growth and
improvement.
Shawnee Public School provides students with one-to-one technology in each classroom. This
allows teachers to prepare lessons for the students that are both exciting, on skill level, and on
target to meet graduation requirements. We are preparing our students for their future goals.
