At its June 30 meeting, the Shawnee Board of Education approved naming Nolan Price as the new head coach of the Shawnee High School Wolves Swim Team.
Coach Price comes to Shawnee from Duncan, where he has served as head coach of the Demons swim program since 2021. A former competitive swimmer at Oklahoma Baptist University, Price is known for his strong technical knowledge, athlete-first philosophy, and the ability to build team culture in and out of the pool.
He now takes over the Shawnee program fresh off a four-peat championship run by the Lady Wolves, one of the most dominant stretches in SHS swim history. Coach Price plans to build on that legacy while expanding and developing the boys' team to bring even more balance and strength to the overall program.
“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Price to the Wolfpack,” said Dax Leone, Shawnee Athletic Director. “He’s the right person to continue the incredible success of our girls' team and take our entire program to the next level.”
Although new to the SHS staff, Coach Price is no stranger to the area. His wife is originally from Tecumseh, and this new opportunity brings their family closer to home—a win for everyone involved.
Please join Shawnee Public Schools in welcoming Coach Nolan Price to Shawnee.
