SECC + Elementary Enrollment

Shawnee Public Schools is preparing to welcome students back for the 2026-2027 school year and is reminding elementary families of important enrollment dates, back-to-school events, and resources available before the first day of school on Wednesday, August 12.

Students new to Shawnee Public Schools must first complete the district's pre-enrollment process through the Shawnee Public Schools Enrollment Center. Families can schedule an appointment through the district website before attending enrollment.

All students attending a Shawnee Public Schools elementary school or the Shawnee Early Childhood Center this fall, including those who have already completed online pre-enrollment, must attend an in-person re-enrollment session to verify student information and required documentation.

Elementary and SECC re-enrollment will be held at Shawnee Middle School, located at 4300 N. Union Ave., on July 27 through July 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on July 30 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Parents or legal guardians should bring a valid photo ID, a current utility bill, lease agreement, or mortgage statement for proof of residency, and any applicable legal documentation regarding custody or guardianship. If proof of residency is not in the parent or guardian's name, the individual whose name appears on the residency document must be present to complete a Residency Affidavit. Families may also complete the affidavit in advance.

Elementary families are also encouraged to attend Meet the Teacher Night on Tuesday, August 11. Shawnee Early Childhood Center will host families from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., while all elementary schools will welcome families from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event provides students and families with an opportunity to meet teachers, visit classrooms, and prepare for a successful start to the school year.

Regular school attendance is one of the strongest predictors of student success. Shawnee Public Schools encourages families to use the district academic calendar when planning vacations, appointments, and other travel so students can take full advantage of every day of learning.

Families can find enrollment information, schedule an Enrollment Center appointment, access school supply lists, download the academic calendar, purchase Wolves gear, view athletics schedules, print first-day-of-school signs, and explore additional back-to-school resources by visiting the district's Back-to-School webpage: www.shawnee.k12.ok.us/page/back-to-school.
