At last night’s Board of Education meeting, we proudly celebrated our Shawnee Public Schools Board members in honor of School Board Appreciation Month. 💙🐺 Students and staff from across the district came together to create meaningful gifts for each board member: plants from our Ag Department, heartfelt notes and cards, hand-colored pins, custom bookmarks, and so much more. Spotted: Wolves in the Wild Shawnee High School Senior, Angel Cazares, was seen out painting this incredible live artwork at Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art's annual Gala. Their gala supports the arts in our community and art education to students all over the country through our local museum!

SHS Senior, Manuela, had the incredible opportunity to attend the Oklahoma Hospital Association’s annual Connect Conference in OKC as a special guest of Youth Medical Mentorship. She spent the day shadowing an area hospital CEO, getting a front-row look at leadership in the healthcare field. Shawnee alum Jake Cleveland, now the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Blood Institute, shared high praise for her experience, saying “she crushed it and will go far if she stays plugged in.” We are so proud of Manuela’s ambition, professionalism, and commitment to her future in the medical field. Experiences like this show the power of connecting students with real-world learning and incredible mentors. Way to go, Manuela! Your Wolf Pack is cheering you on. #ShawneeStrong #GoWolves

We love seeing our Wolves in action! We’re so proud of Shawnee High School - Official senior Manuela Parada (Class of 2026), who was selected for the Advanced Medical & Public Health Internship with Leadership Initiatives! This incredible program gave her the chance to work with doctors in Nigeria through telehealth, develop a public health campaign on respiratory infections, and practice hands-on medical skills like suturing and intubation.
