Shawnee High School proudly recognized its newest Academic Letter Jacket recipients during the school pep rally on Friday, October 3. These students represent the top 5% GPA of their graduating class, highlighting their academic excellence and determination.

Arvest Bank, a longtime partner of Shawnee Public Schools, sponsors the academic letter jackets each year. Tyler Wilburn, Executive Vice President of Arvest Bank and a Shawnee High School alumnus, attended the pep rally to congratulate the students on their achievement.
“As a Shawnee High School graduate, it’s an honor to come back and celebrate these students,” said Wilburn. “Arvest has been a proud partner of Shawnee Public Schools for more than four decades because we believe in investing in the next generation. These students have shown that hard work and dedication lead to success, and we’re grateful to play a part in recognizing their achievements.”
“Earning an academic letter jacket is no small accomplishment,” said Shawnee High School Principal Bobby Cook. “These students have pushed themselves to the highest level and set an example for their peers. We are proud of their dedication and the way they represent Shawnee High School.
The Academic Letter Jacket is one of the highest honors a Shawnee High School student can earn, symbolizing academic achievement and tradition. To receive this recognition is a mark of distinction, honoring both the student’s dedication and the support of the Shawnee community.
