We have sent this calendar home twice, but here it is again for those who need it!

3rd, 4th, and 5th grade whole group state testing is tomorrow, Thursday, April 23rd. The tests will be Math pt. 1 & 2 for 3rd-5th grades.

3rd, 4th, and 5th grade whole group state testing is tomorrow, Wednesday, April 22nd. The tests will be ELA part 2 for 3rd-5th grades plus the Writing portion for 5th grade only.

3rd, 4th, and 5th grade whole group testing will take place tomorrow. Students will take part 1 of the ELA (English Language Arts) state test.

We are kicking off whole group state testing tomorrow, Monday, April 20th, with 5th Grade Science!

All 5th Grade Elementary Basketball Intramurals have been moved to TOMORROW, Wednesday, March 10th at the SHS PAAC. Round Robin games start at 9:30am and Championship games start at 12:05pm. 4th and 5th graders who have returned spectator permission slips will attend the Championship games.

While the snow was falling outside, our Horace Mann Elementary, Shawnee, OK students were busy creating a Reading Blizzard of their own! In December and January, students read an incredible 4,162 stories with Amira! That’s not just impressive; that’s wolf-pack dedication! 🏆 Top Class Award: Mrs. Hopper’s Class 🏆 Top Teacher Award: Mrs. Hopper As part of their celebration, Mrs. Hopper’s class will foster Spot, Amira’s canine companion, for the entire month of February! By fostering Spot, they promise to: ✨ Keep him company ✨ Let him watch them learn ✨ Keep him safe ✨ Read with joy so he always feels loved Each student also received a Spot keychain and sticker to remember their big accomplishment! We are so proud of every Horace Mann student who helped turn winter weather into a Reading Blizzard! Way to read, Wolves! 🐺💙 #GoWolves #ShawneeStrong

When school resumes on Tuesday, February 17, Shawnee Public Schools will begin a slightly adjusted daily schedule.

These changes help us make up instructional time lost to snow days while protecting scheduled breaks later in the school year.

Tomorrow, February 6th, is the 100th day of school! We are dressing our best for group picture day and to celebrate “100 Picture Perfect Days of Learning at Horace Mann!”
