Hello Parents, If you have any shoes (any size) you would like to donate for our SPS Band program we would appreciate it. We will be collecting the shoes in the office at Sequoyah starting this Monday. The classroom that donates the most shoes will receive a popcorn party. Thank you for your support of the Arts!

Hello Sequoyah Families! On Tuesday, December 12 our Sequoyah students will get free entry into the home basketball games at the PAAC. Come out and see Shawnee vs Western Heights! The game schedule is as follows: Girls JV 3:45pm Boys JV 4:45pm Girls Varsity 6pm Boys Varsity 7:30pm

Hello Sequoyah Families! Next Friday, December 15, we are taking our whole school to see the movie Trolls Band Together. Our wonderful PTA is paying for part of the entry fee and we are asking our families to send $1 with your child to cover the remaining cost by next Thursday. Additionally, we will not be getting snacks at the movies. We are so excited about this opportunity and thank Golden Cinema for accomodating us. Thank you!

A flyer and a money envelope were sent home last week. Students can now purchase gifts for family members! Most items are below $5, but can range up to $10. The shop is open daily from 8 am - 2:20 pm; and in the evening on Tuesday - Thursday from 2:30 pm - 6 pm for you to come shop with your students! We hope to see you there! Your Sequoyah PTA wishes you and your family a wonderful holiday season!

Our partners at Community Renewal have announced that Saturday's Monsters on Main event has been canceled due to incoming inclement weather. Instead, Community Renewal is promoting Shawnee Mall's "Haunt the Mall" event scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Saturday.

Hello Sequoyah Families! Our canned food drive will start on November 1! Our school goal is 2500 cans and we will have a competition between each class. All food items go back into our community! Class Prizes: 1st Place - Hot Coco & Cookie Decorating Party 2nd and 3rd Place - Donut Party Thank you!

Hello Sequoyah Families! It is Red Ribbon Week!! Please see the graphic for our Dress Up Days! Also, you are invited to eat with your child for our holiday meals on NOV 9 (Thanksgiving) and DEC 7 (Christmas) for $5. Please let your child's teacher know this week if you will be joining us for one or both meals. Thanks!

The next Title VI Indian Parent Committee Meeting is at 6:30 p.m., Wed., Oct. 25, at the Shawnee Board of Education Conference Room, 326 N. Union. A meal will be provided as well.
