Exciting news for Horace Mann Elementary! 🎉 We're thrilled to announce the addition of two new buddy benches, designed to foster friendship and inclusivity among students. One bench was generously donated by April Stobbe in honor of her father, CL Craig, for Father’s Day. The second bench comes from Shawnee Milling, showcasing their commitment to supporting our local schools. These benches were made possible through a wonderful partnership with Rose Rock Habitat for Humanity. We can't wait to see the positive impact they’ll have on our students! 💙 #ShawneeStrong #GoWolves

What an incredible Jim Thorpe Night at the Shawnee Wolves football game! The Wolves secured another W with a 28-7 win over Tulsa East Central! 🏈 We were honored to recognize the Sac & Fox Nation for sponsoring the Wolves’ special edition Jim Thorpe jerseys, as well as Citizen Potawatomi Nation, Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma, Absentee Shawnee Tribe, Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, and the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma for their continued support and partnership with Shawnee Public Schools. Before the game, we celebrated a ribbon cutting for a beautiful new mural inside Jim Thorpe Stadium honoring Jim Thorpe’s legacy, created by Native American artist Nicholas Blanchard. At halftime, the Wolf Spirit Dancers put on an unforgettable performance honoring the rich culture in our community and district. It was a special night where every player on the field proudly represented the same name: Jim Thorpe. #ShawneeStrong #GoWolves #WolvesUp
