The spotlight is calling! Our Shawnee High School Drama Department has been selected as a 5A Finalist for the Kelli O'Hara Outstanding Musical Performance Award for their performance of Urinetown and will perform at the OKC Civic Center on May 29. Congratulations to Shawnee High School Swim’s Tenielle Kidd on signing with Sterling College to continue her academic and swimming career! As a member of Shawnee’s state champion swim team, Tenielle helped set the standard for excellence in the pool while representing the Wolf Pack with dedication, determination, and hard work every step of the way. Ready to get a head start on college?

Incoming juniors and seniors interested in taking concurrent classes for the 2026-27 school year are invited to attend an informational meeting on Monday, April 20, from 6:00–7:00 PM in the Shawnee High School Library.

Bring your questions and learn how you can earn college credit while still in high school! Guardians are invited to attend with their student.

Today we celebrated the ribbon cutting of the Paul Duffield Tennis Complex at Shawnee High School, a first-class facility that will serve our student-athletes, programs, and community for years to come. This project is more than a new building, it’s a reflection of what happens when a community believes in its schools. Because of our citizens voting YES for the Future of Shawnee Public Schools, opportunities like this become reality. We are grateful for the vision, the investment, and the continued support that makes moments like this possible. We remember where we’ve been. We celebrate how far we’ve come. Shawnee High School seniors stepped into the “Upside Down” this week, but with a purpose.

Our annual Senior Conference returned with a Stranger Things-inspired theme: Ready. Set. Go! Now Entering Adulthood. A day dedicated to preparing our students for what comes next.

The day kicked off with an inspiring message from Miss Oklahoma Tessa Dorrell, encouraging students to embrace the unknown, keep learning, and lead with empathy as they step into their future.

From there, seniors headed into breakout sessions led by our community partners, covering real-life skills like managing credit, recognizing red flags in relationships, basic plumbing and car maintenance, professional dress, and so much more.

This day is all about giving our students the tools, confidence, and connections they need to succeed beyond high school.

We are grateful for the partners who continue to show up, invest in our students, and help shape the future of the Wolf Pack.

The future is calling… and our seniors are ready. 🐺

We had the opportunity to host this year’s Shawnee Forward, Inc. Leadership Shawnee class for their Education Day! We kicked off the morning with our elementary principals and a tour of Will Rogers led by student house leaders. From there, we headed to Shawnee Middle School to enjoy their upgraded library and see the great things happening on campus. Our final stop was Shawnee High School. It was a busy day on campus, but we had the chance to talk about career pathways, stop by the track meet, check out the new press box at Jim Thorpe Stadium, and tour the newest addition to our campuses, the Paul Duffield Tennis Complex. Today’s visit was a great reminder of the many district improvements made possible through your YES vote. Thank you to the Leadership Shawnee class for spending the day with us. Shawnee High School students (grades 9-12) will have a virtual learning day on Friday, March 6.

We are honored to host the funeral of a long-time Shawnee resident, proud alum, and dedicated supporter of Shawnee Public Schools on our campus as our community gathers to remember a life that made a lasting impact.

Students will receive assignments from their teachers on Thursday. Friday’s work will count toward their grade.

Thank you for your understanding as we come together to support the family and honor this meaningful loss. 💙
